Hairstylist & Owner
My hairstyling career started the fall after high school. I went to the Academy of Hair Design in Salem from 1999-2000. My first salon experience was at Rhapsody in McMinnville. It was great, I learned so much, got to work with some of the best in town at the time. I was there for 4 1/2 years before moving to Mr. Eddies where I built up the bulk of my clientele. My name was getting more and more known. I stayed there for 5 years then it was time to venture out on my own. I found Mya’s location January of 2010, spent the next 6 months working with the contractors building Mya’s from the ground up. I got to choose the floor plan, design layout, everything that goes into construction. It has been a great adventure. I have a really great team to work with and everyone seems to enjoy the space and services they receive. Looking forward to doing hair for many more years to come.
As you enter Mya’s, you may notice that the art on our walls is unique. Over the years, I’ve worked with local photographers to capture my hair designs and inspirations. I was pushed to explore new and harder styles which increased my talents. I am grateful for the lessons and fun times. If photographers or models would like to work with me please contact me to find out about pricing for on-location photo shoots.
When I am working in the salon behind the chair, I enjoy enhancing people’s natural beauty by coming up with a look that is most flattering for them. My specialties are men’s and women’s haircuts. Due to allergies of over exposure to color chemicals, I am no longer taking new clients but below are a couple of stylists I recommend for color. You can book your hair appointment with me online and see the prices I offer. Thank you for your interest in Mya’s.
